Co-Founder & Lead Developer

Rocco is co-founder and Lead Developer at PavingWays. He has worked as a web developer for more than ten years. With PavingWays Rocco specializes in bringing web applications to mobile devices. He is an active writer and conference speaker on technical topics and works together with industry professionals in this area. Rocco also did extensive research in the area of mobile Ajax and mobile widgets.

Background
Rocco has a Master of Arts in Software Engineering and English Studies. Before developing web applications as a freelancer, Rocco has worked for companies such as BMW Group, Infineon Technologies, Siemens in Germany as well as in the Silicon Valley. As a teacher in a vocational school he has taught students the arts of coding HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

Since 1999 Rocco has been building web sites and web applications, specializing in back-end solutions and custom as well as open source content management systems for small to medium-sized businesses. As a consultant he is providing his experience to various customers such as Deutsche Telekom and helps them implementing web sites and services based on web standards and cutting-edge technologies.
