Additional Resources

The W3C has an (outdated, April 2008) document about the widget engine landscape. This contains however only 2 mobile-related projects, namely Opera Widgets and Nokia WRT.

While it doesn't fit the definition of a mobile widget engine, the Apache Wookie (incubating) project is a web server that implements the same set of standards (W3C Widgets Packaging and APIs), and can be used to build app stores.
